Fiscal Responsibility

H to T:
When you become a hockey player, you're going to be kind of rich, so you have to spend your money good. So don't buy 85 plasma TVs, unless you can fit 85 plasma TVs in your house, and then maybe you should buy them

Twenty-Ten! Or is it Two-Thousand-Ten?

I got sucked into the Twitter world and have been so busy compressing my thoughts into 140 characters or less that I have been neglecting the Blog!

Merry belated Christmas and happy new year. I think we're OK on the Christmas front. H knows something is up, but I think I've convinced her that I buy some gifts and Santa buys the others. She's definitely a little skeptical, but who wouldn't want to believe. And thanks NORAD for helping with the charade! Plus I can definitively tell her certain things without lying: No, I didn't eat the cookies (daddy did); Yes, I heard bells (that was me jingling them).

This year, we went away for the first time between Christmas and New Year's. We spent a week in Telluride skiing. I skied hard for 5 days in a row, and spent the 6th at the spa. The kids and A skied hard 6 days in a row. Once T remembered how to ski (he literally had no idea what to do with his hands and feet the first run!), he ripped. I think he will be better than his sister soon, and boy does that piss her off.

While we were walking down the hotel hallway one night, H noticed a "privacy please" sign and turned to me and said, "I think they're having s-e-x." I tried to pursue the conversation with her, but she's still not ready. She has a vague idea of what it is (a man and woman laying naked together!) but doesn't really want to know more about this point. And that's fine by me.
